The Wunderkammer is back – improv comedy from Do Not Adjust Your Stage inspired by Ted-style talks from guest expert speakers. Neither the audience nor performers have seen the talks before, making for a unique evening of discovery and laughs!
The brilliant speakers this time round are:
JOSEPH MORPURGO – You know Joe as an actor, writer and comedian – including his brilliant solo work and the peerless Austentatious. Tonight he will be drawing from his time as a music journalist to talk about re-issue culture and retromania in music, sharing some of the oddest musical curiosities he’s come across in past year.
DR MIKE GALSWORTHY is an expert in science policy who has written invited pieces and given talks on future directions in British and EU research. In the wake of the general election, he and a colleague formed “Scientists for EU”, which took off immediately on Facebook and Twitter. In “Scientists against Eurosceptics & the Brexit!” he will talk about the compelling EU membership case for UK science and the bizarre damage already done by anti-immigration, anti-EU voices.
This month’s Wunderkammer is the first in a brand new venue – the awesome Cabaret Bar at Theatre Delicatessen – and follows successive sell-out shows in London since Summer 2014 including residencies at The Nursery and Natural History Museum. Yes, that’s right Cabaret BAR – so get down early to grab a drink and take in the Wunderkammer curiosity vibes.
