UK science doesn’t need the European Union

The Science Council are hosting a debate on UK science and whether or not it ‘needs’ the European Union.

The debate is free to attend and will be taking place in the Attlee Suite in Portcullis House on Thursday 14th April from 5.30pm to 7pm, with a drinks reception until 8pm. It will be chaired by Emran Mian, Director of the Social Market Foundation.

Representing the Britain Stronger in Europe campaign will be Professor Dame Anne Glover, former Chief Scientific Adviser to the President of the European Commission; Dr Julian Huppert, Former MP for Cambridge; and Dr Mike Galsworthy, Programme Director, Scientists for EU.

Representing the VoteLeave campaign will be Jamie Martin, a former Special Adviser to Michael Gove MP; Professor Angus Dalgleish, Scientists for Britain, with a final speaker will be confirmed shortly.
